Six inches of snow fell last Tuesday night. Earliest snow we can remember and so much of it! We were in the middle of the build period for a large Craft Fair at the Royal Horticultural Society Wisley and the build had to continue. Wednesday was spent installing extra heating and manually removing snow build up on the marquee roofs. (Marquees can collapse under weight of snow if left untended in these conditions). The first day of the show (Thursday)was cancelled as access was deemed to dangerous for exhibitors and visitors. We had however managed our own access, so were ready to open. Once car parks and access routes were cleared the show went on successfully for the remaining three days.
