A relatively quiet December. Most notable events were a marquee for The Army (if we told you more we would have to shoot you), and erecting a marquee in the snow for the local police.
1st NOVEMBER 2009 half an inch of rain in two hours and guess what we are doing.
Taking down a free charity fund raising marquee for CHASE hospice in driving rain at 8am Sunday morning. Thanks to Karen for the much needed hot tea and sausage sandwiches! Hope all was a success.
We will finish the month working on the Chelsea Physic Garden Christmas Fair. This is a great place to buy Christmas gifts as well as your last chance to visit these wonderful gardens (unless you are a friend) until their winter snowdrop openings on 6th, 7th, 13th & 14th February 2010, 10am-4pm entry from Swan Walk SW3.
The other highlight of November was being appointed at the last minute to supply marquees for two separate events at Quintessentially Soho charitable pop up members lounge at The House of st Barnabas. This was a tough one.
- 2ft wide access route with dog leg.
- difficult shape garden with steps , borders and sculpture in the way.
- hard to avoid restricting fire exits.
- narrow time constraints for erection and clearance.
- impossible parking and unloading restrictions.
Pop up clubs may be the latest fashion, but we have been popping up for over twenty years now! Anyway mission accomplished and on into December.
